UI Engineer - LM Logs

What You'll Do:

A UI engineer is a member of a cross functional mission team. This position is specifically focused on working with the Logs problem space. We hope that this person enjoys creating great UI and interactions, but also has an interest in learning more about backend technology. The position is within the LM Logs team in Stockholm, and will be working on problem areas related to data processing at scale, log data use cases, anomaly detection and visualization.

Here's a Closer Look at this Key Role:

• Work with the team to prioritize and plan for deliverables in an agile development process.
• Build APIs, query services utilising AWS lamdas and low level web components as well as adding to existing systems as needed.
• Work with UX to build a best in class user interface dealing with data on a massive scale.
• Refactor and manage technical debt of existing systems.
• Tackle performance and design issues.
• Envision product improvements, UI features and functionalities by working closely with customers.
• Collaborate with a diverse, distributed development organization across US, Scandinavia and India.
• Keeps current on cutting-edge technology related to UI and APIs and educates others about it.

What You'll Need:

• 3+ years of software development experience in JavaScript applications
• 1+ years of full-time experience using a modern framework like React, Ember, Angular or Backbone
• BS/BA in some field (prefer CS or Math).
• Experience with contributing to Single Page web applications, testing components, and contributing to a collaborative team repository.
• Some experience with browser debug tools for layout, process inspection, and network analysis.
• Experience working as part of a cross functional agile team

Nice to have

• BS or above degree in computer science or related field.
• Experience with Go or Java
• Experience designing large, complex user Interfaces and information flows.
• Experience building technical prototypes
• Familiar with security best practices with respect to programming and development
• Familiar with Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, BitBucket)
