Come help us save the environment and disrupt a whole industry while doing it! Energimolnet is built to boost the energy sector by making it fun, easy and truly scalable to develop energy related services that improve efficiency and save the environment. We manage billions of data points and provide the world's most comprehensive infrastructure for collecting and distributing energy data. Our users save energy by using services they already love -- while we automatically extract data from energy bills, utility web-sites and smart-meters. Grow with us We are now expanding in Europe and looking for a back-end developer to join our growing team in Gothenburg. Your main responsibility will be to improve our data collection capabilities and implement new features that will help us grow globally. Our stack is highly distributed and we focus on what we do best and let Heroku, MongoLab, Iron, Papertrail, Mailgun, AWS, etcetera do the rest. Your responsibilities Lead the back-end development for data collection and monitoring as we enter new geographical markets Be part of general planning and architecture decisions regarding cloud infrastructure and API-design. Help our customers with support questions about the API and data collection Pet-projects: Play around with the API and IFTTT to demonstrate and inspire how Energimolnet can be connected to smart lights and web services

We think you love APIs and enjoy using open source libraries as well contributing back to the community. You think that the devil is in the details and you are triggered by using new technology. You hate administration and love rationalizing boring tasks. While extensive professional experience is definitely a positive thing, we focus on your personal commitment and ability to learn. We think you are active in the programming community and have finalized a number of personal, as well as community driven projects. Must haves Expert in PHP or other scripting languages (Python, Ruby, etc.) In-depth understanding of the web stack (HTTP, cookies, caching etcetera) Familiar with MongoDB or other document databases Familiar with Test Driven Development Nice to haves Work experience with PHP, MongoDB, Javascript/AngularJS and cloud providers such as Heroku. Work experience with PHPUnit Proficiency Swedish Active in the programming community and have finalized a number of personal, as well as community driven projects We work to make a difference in the energy industry, and we hope this is something that excites you as much as it excites us.
