DevOps Manager

As we are continuously growing, we want to strengthen our focus and quality of infrastructure and production environments by creating a dedicated DevOps team. We are therefore looking for our first DevOps Manager to lead the team!

You’ll lead three really technically skilled team members that find great joy in solving complex technical problems. The team is responsible for:

• Database and production/development environment
• Linux (CentOS) and virtual environments
• DevOps Tools and containers
• System monitoring and proactive security measures
• Storage, backup and disaster recovery

You and your team will primarily work with the operational performance and infrastructure of our Saas-platform and further develop our production environment to ensure that it is equipped for the needs of the future - with a focus on databases, Linux servers and DevOps Tools. Your mission is to build a scalable, redundant system that gives great conditions for performance and high availability and choose the right tools to deliver efficiently. We are growing around the globe and also moving to more distributed teams internally, so making sure we can continue serving clients in a great way and have tools available for remote work is an important part of your responsibility.

As manager for the team you will to plan the workflow in the team, make sure the team has the right conditions to deliver efficiently, clear objectives and goals and prioritize buying/adding the right tools and keeping track of budget. Of course you’ll also support and develop your team members and create a great culture and wellbeing in the team.

Here is what we are looking for in our new DevOps Manager:

We believe that you have a technical background in System administration, DevOps or Infrastructure Engineering and experience from leading or being a senior member of a DevOps team. You can see commercial and business needs and translate this into technical solutions and define requirements by continuously communicating with different stakeholders.

To succeed in the role, we also believe you have great knowledge in in some of the these technical areas:

• Databases (we use MySQL)
• Linux (CentOS, Redhat)
• Docker
• Virtualization
• Ansible / Puppet
• Git and Jira
• Jenkins
• General Network knowledge, Spacewalk and/or Fortigate firewalls is a great plus
• Experience from AWS and Azure is a big plus
