What’s in it for you?
We are looking for experienced Java Software developers, working according to agile methodology preferable with experience from working with Test driven development and continuous delivery. Furthermore, it's preferable with order handling and production planning experience.

You will join the Order Management & Planning product cluster within Production Planning & Procurement area of Digital at Volvo Cars. This product cluster delivers digital solutions that improves stability and consistency in production plan, which will enable us to provide shorter and more accurate lead times to our end customers. You will be part of the journey as we deliver on our company’s vision and ensure high flow through our factories. We use modern tools and agile methods to create business value continuously. We ensure high quality and adaptability in our delivery. Of course, we have fun together while doing it.

What you’ll do
The application ARO is an order scheduling system used for scheduling and managing orders. It’s used by order coordinators and production planners at all plants globally. The decision has been taken to enhance the application and add on new functionality through setting up a new product team with focus on test driven development and continuous delivery. The new features will consist of micro services based on Java backend and a web application frontend. WAS 9 is the current platform with the longterm plan to host the application in a container at a cloud platform.

The product team consist of Product Owner, Scrum Master and Developers. You will be working according to Scrum and be part of the 12-week PI cadence for the cluster. All development will be done by the team and all team members are collocated in Torslanda.

You and your skills
You are a curious and open-minded person who are continuously striving to develop your skillsets. You are willing to develop a T-shaped profile by expanding your knowledge into one or more other specializations. You are also self-motivated and are willing to network with stakeholder for technical elicitation. It is also beneficial if you have some experience with direct client management, like taking requirements and take an interest in the user needs and user journey. We also consider it a bonus if you have experience working with AWS as a Cloud service.

You should have experience from some of the following areas:
• Java, J2EE, Webservices (JAX-RS, JAX-WS), EJB, JMS, TDD
• Open-source frameworks like Struts1.x/2.0, Spring 3.0, JSF1.2/2.2, etc...
• Microservices Architecture with Spring Boot
• Experience with Servers like IBM WebSphere 8.0 (or) higher
• JavaScript, TypeScript, Responsive design, HTML, CSS, AngularJS, Bootstrap
• JUnit, Eclipse, GIT, WLP, API Management (3Scale)
• Maven, Jenkins, VSTS
• Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Azure
• Oracle 11G (or) higher, SQL Server
