Software Engineering Lead

Koenigsegg Automotive builds some of the fastest cars in the world, with almost all of our Megacar technologies patented and made in-house. Within this brand, we have launched a stealth startup team to redefine the future of mobility. We are on a universe-denting mission, moving beyond exclusive low-volume models. We have already started developing some new tech and products, but we can't say too much about that yet…

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Flexible work schedules + culture of collaboration
  • Rare opportunity to impact a new, growing company, backed by Koenigsegg’s long track record of success and profitability
  • Work alongside world-class talent in tech and automotive
  • Quick decision making, flat hierarchy
  • Engaging and friendly work environment, guided by leadership with a strong vision
  • Significant social and welfare benefits of Sweden

WHAT YOU’LL DO

We need more exceptional, impactful, and authentic leaders to build our prototypes and grow our organization. Our ambitions and deadlines push the limits of what is physically possible. This means that you will have to work efficiently and drive our cross-functional teams to execute at high quality levels. Our mission is clear: we are here to innovate and transform.

  • Define performance requirements of our prototype, build a team around you to mature the product
  • Develop real-time, embedded C++ software to develop, interpret, and assemble raw neural networks into a form consumable.
  • You will build and employ a variety of tools for visualizing, debugging, and validating various layers in the autonomy stack.
  • You will define the software products for new mobility products and build partnerships with external solution providers.
  • You will compose algorithms to process massive amounts of fleet data for offline processing.
  • You will work closely with other groups in Koenigsegg to ensure architecture is innovative, API’s are sufficient, signal quality and gaps are well-understood, and future needs are being anticipated.

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE

  • BS in Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or proof of exceptional skills in related fields, with practical software engineering experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience writing production-level C/C++; experience with C++11 (and later), real-time systems, and generic programming are highly desirable.
  • Mathematical fundamentals, including linear algebra, vector calculus, probability, and statistics. Experience implementing this math effectively in software (eg MATLAB, Python, numpy, C++/Eigen, etc.).
  • Familiarity with core problems in robotics, including state estimation (Kalman filter, particle filter, etc.), SLAM, and signal processing (LTI filtering, outlier rejection, reasoning in both time and frequency domains).
  • Familiarity with basic computer vision concepts, including intrinsic and extrinsic calibrations, homogeneous coordinates, projection matrices, and epipolar geometry. Some additional expertise in more advanced geometric fields, such as 3D reconstruction, structure from motion, visual odometry, etc., is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in a Linux environment.
  • Basic Git knowledge: creating and merging branches, cherry-picking commits, examining the diff between two hashes. More advanced Git usage is a plus, particularly: development on feature-specific branches, squashing and rebasing commits, and breaking large changes into small, easily digestible diffs

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

We have all kinds of diverse people. Racing champions, rugby players, musicians, mountain climbers, skiers/boarders, gamers, and BBQ aficionados. We have family people, single people, happy people and the more skeptical kind of people. You will find new friends here, but please bring old friends as well!

Do you think you would be a great addition to our team? We would love to hear why. Please apply via the link!

HOW THE HIRING WORKS

1. Fill in an application, or we will find you. Find us on LinkedIn or other social media and add any demonstration of exceptional ability

2. We send you a link to our awesome software ROI, and you tell us more about yourself

3. We invite you to do a virtual interview, and possibly even come to our Ghost Squadron facility in Ängelholm, Sweden.
