Software Security Engineer

As a Software Security Engineer you will be a part of a software development team responsible for security in our client´s platform. A cloud based software platform providing administrative and analytics support for the client's product family. This is an innovative healthcare company and works with molecular diagnostics and its systems automate traditional nucleic acid tests.

You will be responsible to design, implement and test advanced software security techniques in compliance with best practise and industry standard. It includes security assessment and code review to improve software security and provides software documentation including, but not limited to, security whitepaper, software requirement specifications, functional specifications and design specifications.

You will be the one who guides the team members on secure coding practices.
There will be interacting with cross-functional stakeholders from SQA, Marketing, Service and support organizations, and project/program managers during the development and delivery of the product. This is a role where you perform duties as an individual contributor and/or team member with 100% hands-on work. 
You have also Training responsibilities where you need to complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time.

Skills:
You have a Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree with 7+ years of related work experience.

Must have:
Proven work experience as a software security engineer
Expertise in software security; technical knowledge of techniques, best practise and industry standard for authentication and authorization, applied cryptography, security vulnerabilities and remediation
A minimum of 5 years professional experience in Java, Spring
Experience with REST, JSON
Experience with databases
Experience with Git, Linux (command line)
Experience with Automated testing (e.g. JUnit)
Experience with Cloud development and deployment (AWS)
Comfortable in using a wide variety of open source technologies and tools
Experience from Agile/Scrum team work
Further, you have the ability to be self-motivated, proactive, curious, accountable and flexible.You are a critical thinker and have problem-solving skills.

Language:
Professional working proficiency in English is required
