Description

You will be part of the Chapter Embedded Software, which is one of five competence areas within the Software Tribe.

Our focus is to develop embedded vehicle software solutions and platforms for in-vehicle infotainment and connected vehicle.

We are now looking for experienced and proactive software developers that will join the team developing our future in-vehicle infotainment and connected vehicle platform. The work will span from development of device drivers, work with middleware to development of applications and services. You will have great opportunities to influence our future software architecture and solutions.

We are searching for software engineers with a broad competence in software engineering and/or computer science. You should preferable have good software architecture skills and can work at several layers of the software platform.

Previous experience of embedded Linux, operating systems, multi-core controllers, connected car, in-vehicle infotainment and/or HMI development is of high interest.

The work will be done in tight cooperation with System Engineers from other departments within NEVS as well as global partners and suppliers. All with the focus to combine the highest levels of quality and performance.

The role involves:

- Software Development, including unit testing, on several layers of the software platform.
- Software Architectural Design.
- Software Builds and Build Environments.
- Continuous Integration.
- Cyber security analysis activities.
- HMI development
- Develop and maintain requirements for the software platform.
- Maintain and evolve the development environment as well as improving way-of-working processes.
- Mentoring of colleagues.

 We are looking for someone who has:

- Several years of experience from developing software in C++.
- Experience from working with Python and JavaScript (typescript / Node.js)
- Good knowledge about Linux.
- Experience from Use Case and UML modelling.
- Experience from Renesas R-Car platform or similar automotive platforms / SoCs.
- Bachelor of Science or higher degree.
- Ability to share knowledge with colleagues.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

If you also have knowledge within the following areas its meriting:

- Automotive Grade Linux.
- Yocto.
- Redis, Databases / Data structures.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery.
- QT or other User Interface development tools.
- Cyber security.
- Hypervisor / parallel operating systems.
- Connectivity in vehicle
- Infotainment development
