Smart Eye is leading the global market for Driver Monitoring Systems, which will soon be a standard component in every car. Monitoring the driver behavior is safety critical both for normal driving as well as for autonomous driving. Work description

We develop advanced algorithms such as head- and eye-tracking, attentiveness and drowsiness, face identification and other interior sensing algorithms. We solve these challenging problems by utilizing state-of-the-art algorithms in the fields of image processing, machine learning / AI, mathematics and accelerated computing. You will be part of a team focused on optimizing the execution time of these algorithms.

Our software must support many different hardware platforms, CPU architectures (x86-64, ARMv7, ARMv8, C6x DSP etc.), accelerators/vectorization units (NEON, ASIMD, SSE, various NPUs, GPUs etc.) as well as many operating systems (Linux, QNX, Integrity, SYS/BIOS). The faster we can make our software run on these platforms the more new and exciting algorithms we can use while still satisfying our real-time requirements.

​Must-have-skills:

- University degree within Engineering context preferably Computer Engineering/Computer Science or similar.
- Expert knowledge in C, C++ and Linux.
- Good knowledge of computer architecture and the trade-offs that must be taken into account when writing efficient code.
- Previous experience within algorithm optimization for embedded systems, preferably vectorization.

Good-to-have-skills:

Experience in one or more fields of image processing, graphics programming, real time operating systems such as QNX, Integrity or SYS/BIOS.

Experience with using hardware accelerators for neural networks.

Python and script-languages.

Experience of developing software for products related to functional safety and ISO-26262.
