Art Director

Would you like to work with an app loved and enjoyed by millions of kids around the world?

As an Art Director you’ll be the vision keeper for the art style, look & feel of Toca Life World, ensuring a consistent visual style, while developing new ideas for the future of the app!

Toca Life World gives kids the opportunity to use their imagination and creativity through open ended play. It’s hugely popular, with very dedicated fans, and as the Art Director in the Toca Life World Team you’ll be part of making sure it is a continued success.Lumaparksvägen 9

What you’ll be doing
You’ll be managing and setting the direction for Toca Life World art style across teams and projects. You’ll be coaching, directing and inspiring the art leads in the development of new content and features.

You’ll drive and facilitate the feedback process, nurturing a collaborative, open and honest feedback environment, making sure we stay true to our quirky and playful art style.

You’ll ensure cohesive aesthetics across projects and teams, being an advocate for Art and keeping the vision for the art style as a whole, including user interface, illustration and layout.

You’ll actively work on identifying current and future team needs, participating in the recruitment of permanent staff, freelancers and outsourcing.

Is this you?
You’re an artist with a background working on games or digital products, experienced in art direction and leadership. You are a facilitator who doesn’t mind taking a bit of a back seat and letting the other people shine.

You have experience giving art feedback to align with art direction and meeting production goals.

You have solid Adobe Illustrator skills and a playful portfolio that you are willing to share with us.

What we’ll be looking for in portfolio
We’d love to see something colorful and playful, as our main target audience is kids.

We’d love to see something that shows your vector illustration skills and your understanding of UI/UX and layout. It would be great if you could show us the full process of a project and/or assignment you worked on.

And of course, we want to see your personal art style!
