About the position

At Readly, we pride ourselves in having built a slim and flat tech organisation where everyone gets heard and can contribute. We work in autonomous, English speaking cross-functional teams, where you are involved in all steps of the product development process, from requirements to running solution.

In joining our Tech Team as our new Software Developer, you will become a part of the mission to provide our customers with world-class applications, used to discover and read magazines through apps currently available on iOS, Android and the Web.

As Software developer, you will work with the development of new products, as well as ensuring our backend stack is an enabler for the future, so as to best manage the underlying business logic and integrations, such as content preparation, APIs, CRM tool integration, data warehouse integrations, etc. You will work in collaboration with your team in shaping the direction of our complete stack portfolio, and the corresponding development processes.

Who are you?

For this position, we are looking for someone who will thrive in the collaborative work environment and development process that we’ve built. You need to have the passion and curiosity needed to seek and find solutions on your own, but the experience and lack of prestige to be able to know when to rather go to a colleague for input and help. Good communications skills and a team-first mindset is key! To cultivate and facilitate this further, we organize a monthly Lab Day, where you will be able to learn, explore and share, alongside your colleagues.

Looking at your technical background, we want you to have both experience in and knowledge of building modern background cloud services, built on a micro service architecture and REST APIs, as well as building and deploying backend service, CI/CD using containers, such as Docker.

Your background could be in Ruby on Rails, Golang, React, JavaScript, Java, .NET/C#, Python, C++ or others. You care about quality, and know how to write readable, maintainable and performant code.

As we are scaling up our tech organisation, we are looking for both junior and senior developers.
