We are seeking a Lead UX Researcher to join the Mobile UX team within the UX Organization at our Headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden) (International applications are welcome). 

Why now?
Volvo Cars is on an ambitious journey to redefine what it means to own a vehicle during a time of rapid change in the transport industry. Volvo Cars is looking to redefine all aspects of the car ecosystem including mobility solutions, autonomous driving, vehicle electrification, sustainability, and digital purchases and engagement. User Experience as a discipline is a key part of Volvo Cars' strategy and the UX organization gathers insights about our users, and redefines and elevates their experience of Volvo's products and services.

Your mission
You will collaborate on a global scale, working with product teams, business stakeholders, engineers, and designers to provide insights that guide future digital products, and conduct user tests on prototypes in order to continuously improve our digital mobile experiences. You will work within the UX organization alongside designers, content strategists, and other researchers. As the Lead Mobile UX Researcher you will work closely with researchers in other verticals, such as Vision, Guide, and Car.

You and your skills
We believe that you are a UX researcher with a degree in psychology, Human Computer/Machine Interaction, social science, or related fields and about eight years' experience conducting research for digital products and a strong understanding of how qualitative and quantitative research can guide interaction design and visual design. You are a person who recognizes that communicating process, methods, and insights and advocating for the user is as important as designing and implementing the research. You are comfortable defining, planning, and conducting user research and delivering actionable insights to product and design teams.

It would be an advantage if you have experience working in a consumer-focused tech company.
