Full-stack Software Engineer

KanbanFlow is a project collaboration and productivity tool with built-in time tracking. The tool is used by over a quarter million users world-wide. Our vision is to create the best Kanban product on the market. We want your help to accomplish that.

Job description

We are looking for a talented software engineer that is comfortable working with both the frontend and backend. We believe that you are a person that is curious and loves to learn new things.

We stay up-to-date with web technology. We use Babel and Browserify on the frontend, so we can write ES6/7 code and still support older browsers. We use Web Sockets for real-time communication and are looking into Service Workers to be able to add offline support and push notifications. On the backend we use Node.js. Strong JavaScript skills is needed for this job.

We are a small company so you will have a great opportunity to influence both the direction of the product and how we work internally. You will be working tightly with the rest of the team on all parts of the system.

Things we do

• We apply TDD on most non-trivial code
• We do pair programming almost 50% of our time. It helps to increase code quality and spread knowledge.
• We release new versions on a daily or weekly basis
• We have “Happy Friday” every friday where we can: research new technologies, refactor, improve dev scripts and similar things that makes us more happy as developers
• We go to developer conferences 2-3 times per year
• We invest in a good working environment. All team members have 3 large monitors, fast computers, mechanical keyboards, adjustable standing desks and other ergonomical aids.
• We have flexible working hours

You should have

• Excellent JavaScript skills
• Experience with Node.js
• Experience with TDD
• 2-5 years of relevant experience

It is great if you have

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science
• Interest in UI/UX design
• Experience with micro-services, CQRS and event sourcing
• Experience with Linux
