For our R&D Global Technology Organization in Porcia, we are currently looking for a Connectivity Firmware Engineer.

As a Firmware engineer, you will be joining the Global Technology Organization team in Porcia. We are a growing team of highly qualified engineers with strong industrial experience, supporting development of new platforms and services globally and across categories.

Your role is to design firmware for innovative embedded systems for connected consumer and professional appliances with significant security requirements and support other Company functions to deliver the full connectivity infrastructure. You will be assigned to develop new modules, being part of complex systems, to deliver new services to our customers. You will use or improve currently used technologies and methods.

Your main tasks:

• Develop firmware for microcontrollers, Linux embedded and Windows applications

• Debug and test

• Take care of documentation

• Support various (also non - technical) divisions, as well as external suppliers, for integration of modules, system testing and their own developments

Qualifications:

• Master or PhD Degree in Electronic Engineering or Computer Science

• 5 - 7 years of experience in a similar role is required

• Working experience in complex organizations like Electrolux with multisite R&D offices

• Development of connectable products

• Experience in open source projects

• Good Knowledge in Linux embedded

• Good Knowledge of Visual Studio

• Good Knowledge in C language programming for 8/32 bit micro controllers (ARM Cortex are preferred)

• Knowledge in C++/# language programming

• Knowledge and experience on computer networks, inter networking and TCP/IP protocols

• Knowledge of software testing methodologies

• Knowledge of firmware version management systems

• Knowledge in software and networking security

• Willing to travel and to stay on different Electrolux sites when required

• Willing to keep technical background always up-to-date, commitment to technical excellence

• Willing to interact with other teams for a system definition, integration and testing

• Team oriented

• Good communication skills

• Proactive, takes initiatives

• Problem solving skills

• Solid English is considered mandatory for this role.
