Magine is a cloud-based service for watching live, time shifted and recorded TV. Say goodbye to complicated set-ups and lock-in contracts with your existing cable operator and say hello to TV as it should be. Magine’s goal is to give the viewer a personalized TV-experience with more freedom to watch what you want, whenever you want and how you want. The service is suited for different type of devices such as a smart device or a computer. Magine focuses on the end-user and offers live- and recorded TV-material on a global platform.

We are now looking for a frontend developer to join their Billing & Subscription team!

The role

As a frontend developer you will work with all parts of the signup, subscription, promotions, and administration flows.

You’ll be working very closely with the product design team (UX/UI specialists) to better understand the needs of their customers, and use this insight to build simple, solid, stunning, and personal purchasing experiences. They achieve this customer insight by meeting with their customers regularly in all our markets; presenting them with prototypes or beta products, and gathering their feedback. They also use A/B testing techniques to compare the effectiveness of our pages and conversion funnels. You’ll be expected to take part in both types of research, and optimize your designs based on the results.

Your profile

We are looking for someone who is a star in frontend development and wants to continue to learn new techniques. We think that you have a creative outlook and a passion for great design, which helps you to create valuable and usable solutions. You see the system from a holistic perspective, both front- and backend, and are skilled in finding solutions that match the customer’s needs. You structure your code cleanly, enabling you and the rest of the team to deliver improvements - faster.

We would prefer that you have experience with working in an agile team, using Scrum or Kanban.

Your skills

Must have:

- Excellent JavaScript and framework knowledge (preferably AngularJS and/or React)

- Demonstrable experience of building stunning UX/UI experiences

- HTML5, CSS3

- Agile development experience

Nice to have:

- BS/MS in computer science

- Backend development experience

- Active in open source projects

- Experience integrating with 3rd-party payment providers

- ECMAScript 6
