Software developer in Tactical Data Links

Your role

Command and Control West is growing are looking for a Java developer with back end focus for one of our software teams. This team is currently working on developing tactical datalinks for our projects, and are looking for another senior member to complete the team.

The team currently consists of 6 developers, with a mix in age and experience. Although some team members have specific rolls (tester, architect, etc.) The team have a cross-functional mindset and works together to solve their tasks.

All our teams are given a lot of freedom to solve their problems as they see fit, supported by experts and the rest of the department. As a senior developer, you will be asked to take a leading role in designing technical solutions and helping the team to be successful in their work.

Your profile

To succeed in this role, you are a self-motivated person used to efficiently collaborating with team members as well as other stakeholders. You have at least five or more years of experience of working as a software developer within the area of complex system development. Experience with data links is a big plus, and tactical data links an even bigger plus.

You are a structured person with the ability to prioritize. You take responsibility to deliver result and work proactively. Your passion lies in finding the best solutions to complex problems, and implementing those solutions together with your team.

You are a good communicator, fluent in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.

Required skills:

Bachelor degree or work experience in similar roles and tasks

5+ years of experience from working with Java
*

Excellent communication skills in English, verbal and written
*

Experiences from programming in large complex systems

Desired skills:

Experience in tactical data links, or data links
*

Experience in coaching other developers test
*

Knowledge of Jira, Git, Jenkins and/or Docker
*

Knowledge of Windows and Linux
*

Understanding of requirement and compliance work

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.

What you will be a part of

You will be part of the development of command, control and communication systems for our radars used in the ground base air defence domain. The department consists of approximately 62 employees and consultants and we plan to grow. We have the whole chain of competences from demand to delivery within our department.
