Schibsted Products & Technology is a start-up subsidiary of Schibsted ASA with offices in London, Stockholm, Barcelona and Oslo. The overall mission of Schibsted Products and Technology is to develop the common global product platforms and technology infrastructure necessary to enable data- and identity based ecosystems and empower local entrepreneurs, thereby delighting users and driving Schibsted's future growth. We are currently looking for Engineers/Developers in the beginning of their careers to focus on the integration projects. Schibsted is building brand new products from scratch in areas such as Advertising, Identity, Payment, and Data Science and these products need to be integrated with existing and new products being created by companies within Schibsted such as Finn, Blocket, VG, and Aftonbladet. The APIs that you will be calling vary from SDKs for iOS and Android, node.js, java, scala, and python. You will be gaining useful experience in many of these technologies / languages. We use micro-services and cloud technologies, so you will also gain valuable experience in this area. We are establishing a Partner Engineering Ads team that will help our sales operations teams across Schibsted brands in Scandinavia. The Partner Engineering Ads team will work with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams within Schibsted to develop better tools and services to improve our products based on the evolving needs of our users. Working across the entire organization, you will have the chance to leverage your wide-ranging experience and skill-set to find the best solution for the problems at hand. Minimum qualifications BS degree in Computer Science or
Information Systems or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 1-3 years of hands on programming experience preferably using a diverse set of languages / technologies rather than specialising. We use Java, Scala, JavaScript, Python, and Objective C to name a few. Preferred qualifications Master's degree in Computer Science or related field Experience with big data platforms and large volume data analytics. Ability to construct complex yet efficient SQL queries. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience in the online advertising industry is a real bonus Personality: We are working with products and platforms that are highly mission critical and with millions of users.
