Solution Test Engineer - Connected Technologies

SKF Connected Technologies provides a range of offers covering condition monitoring, load and rotation sensing, online systems, mobile systems, wireless systems, and numerous software, which are now designed specifically to enable Rotating Equipment Performance (REP) offers and scalability.

As Solution Test Engineer, you will be part of a global team that evaluates solutions' compliance with their specified requirements. Our products fit into SKFs digitalization platform and you will be involved in the whole product lifecycle – from design, implementation, industrialization and production to commercial deployment and maintenance.

Your day-to-day work

• Design, implement and maintain test cases and test environments for complex solutions

• Perform manual and/or automated end-to-end solution testing

• Document defects and report deviations from requirements specification

• Assist the Solution or System Architects in identifying solutions shortfalls

• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and software engineers to ensure solution components and system compatibility

• Evaluation of new technologies and testing tools for improving productivity and/or enhancing products

• Possible customer interfacing during the development

• Adhere to and improve the test team’s Way of Working process

• Travel may be required to support product development and test activities

We expect you to have/be

• University degree, preferable in computer science, electrical engineering or related field

• Self-motivated, strong drive and action-oriented mindset with high sense of personal accountability

• Experience in working in Agile development teams and the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

• Knowledge in programming languages such as Java, Python, C, C++ to work in LabView and Ranorex test automation frameworks

• We see it as beneficial if you have at least 3-5 years of experience working with test of Hardware/Firmware and embedded systems, digital signal processing and/or electric measurement techniques

• Good proficiency in English language

Location: Gothenburg, Sweden. Local contract in AB SKF.
