In short

As a UX Designer at Detectify, your goal is to deliver the best possible experience for our customers. Your main focus will be to work closely with a cross-functional product team to solve the customer needs in a specific area together with the product manager and engineers. You’ll be a part of shaping our design process, pushing for user-centricity and embracing a data driven mindset in product teams. As a Product Designer you will have a real impact on the overall product and ownership of your domain.

The Product Design Team

The Product Design team at Detectify both work as a central function and integrated in the product teams. The central design team focuses on keeping our products consistent by maintaining and building out the design system as well as conducting user research to help set the overall product strategy. We believe that all designers at Detectify play a key role in the foundation of the design culture at Detectify. Therefore, we are looking for a UX Designer that can help us deliver amazing user experiences in one of the product teams, while also supporting the central functions of the design team.

What you’ll do

• Take ownership of the domain with freedom to impact where to take that domain from a design perspective.
• Work closely with a cross-functional product team to convey, and adapt to, the user needs together with product manager and engineers
• Be a strong advocate for design thinking, and bring your knowledge and practices to the product team you work with
• Gather insights to understand user needs and behaviours through user research and quantitative methods such as A/B tests
• Communicate these insights to the product team and translate into creative and inspiring solutions to customer problems
• Create, communicate and iterate on user flows, wireframes or prototypes with different stakeholders
• Work closely with the product team to support implementation and make sure that the designs are built for scale
• Collaborate with your peers in the Product Design team, help keep consistency across the Detectify platform and move us closer to our jointly defined design vision

Who you are

• You are a person that likes to take responsibility for the end to end design process and work with data to make decisions and iterate on solutions
• You have several years experience from end-to-end UX / UI design and leading discovery activities.
• You embrace feedback from peers and other team members and like to work in a collaborative way
• You are a good communicator and can confidently interpret and understand the needs of the customer
• You are goal-oriented yet continuously evaluating, reflecting and improving on your own solutions
• You have solid experience in creating, structuring and implementing your own ideas and have worked with:
• Designing complex systems, ideally in a B2B context
• Design systems, as a tool to increase release pace and consistency
• Design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Invision, Adobe XD
• User research methods, qualitative and quantitative
• Agile development principles
