DevOps Engineer

As our new DevOps Engineer you will be part of the software development team at Cepheid, a growing Diagnostics company located in Solna, Stockholm.

You will be responsible for supporting and maintaining Cepheid’s C360 connected platform in AWS cloud. Cepheid C360 is a cloud based software platform providing administrative and analytics support for Cepheid’s GeneXpert product family.

It is important that you appreciate a fast-paced environment and that you have strong interpersonal and communicative skills to succeed in this role.

Job responsibilities include:

• Responsible for deployment and maintenance of the product in AWS cloud.
• Drive automation of build and deployment process.
• Provides documentation including, but not limited to support and maintenance plan, IQ protocols and reports, backup and recovery policy, upgrade plans.
• Responsibility includes interacting with cross-functional stakeholders from SQA, Marketing, Service and support organizations, and project/program managers during the development and delivery of the product.
• Perform duties as an individual contributor and/or team member with 100% hands-on work

Knowledge and skills:

• A minimum of 3 years professional experience as DevOps Engineer.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), EC2, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, Aurora, S3, SES, etc.
• Experience with container technology (Docker or similar) and container orchestration (Fargate ECS, EKS or Kubernetes)
• Automation tools (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.)
• Experience with build and deployment pipelines, CI/CD.
• Experience with Linux OS, scripting, bash, Python etc.
• Experience with systems administration and IT operations (networks, cyber security, etc.)
• Experience with databases.
• Comfortable in using a wide variety of open source technologies and tools.
• Experience from Agile/Scrum/Kanban team work
• Ability to be self-motivated, proactive, curious, accountable and flexible.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of related work experience or Master’s degree in field with 5+ years of related work experience.
