Business Analytics and Forecasting, Global Analytics and Insights, CMO
We are looking for a Sr. Business Analyst to join the Business Analytics and Forecasting team. This individual will be based in the EA Gothenburg campus, working closely with the Product Marketing, development, finance, ops, and Live Teams, as well as BA&F team members in San Francisco, Orlando, Stockholm, Geneva, Vancouver, and Bucharest. The right candidate will be able to drive decision-making insights, experiments and engagement models to action.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Influence development decisions and marketing strategies through fact-based data-driven insights and analysis; be a key agent of change for EA digital product strategy and marketing optimization
Find new opportunities to explore data to improve the consumer experience, improve the product, drive incremental revenue and/or reduce costs
Define and drive key development stakeholders to implement the right tracking/telemetry in our products
Lead efforts to test telemetry/tracking hooks and define database requirements for storage
Perform strategic analysis using all available sources of information (internal consumer data, consumer insights, research data, industry sources), to support the decision-making process and strategic direction of marketing; evangelize this work throughout the studio
Act as a liaison between the Ghost studio and other central teams (insights, data science, CRM, PBM, social marketing, etc.) and the studios
Work closely with other EA Analytics teams to define segmentation groupings and life-time value metrics, and build propensity models that predict churn, engagement, and other user behaviors
Develop dashboards and reports for live service teams as well as reports for execs
Develop and maintain forecast models for digital products, working with marketing, dev and finance
Manage weekly operational forecasts with key studio stakeholders
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
4+ years of relevant hands on experience, preferably in gaming, banking, consulting, telcom or retail
Excellent advanced SQL skills: including extensive experience querying large, complex data sets
Familiarity with a data visualization software package, e.g., Tableau
Experience recommending and building tracking/telemetry hooks in products
Database design experience
Familiarity with a statistical software package, such as SAS, Stata or R
Good knowledge of Excel including macros, pivot tables, vlookups, charts and graphs
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and to meet changing deadlines and priorities on multiple simultaneous projects
Team player and self-starter with the ability to liaise with multiple teams and stakeholders
B.A. or B.S. in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, and/or Engineering Sciences ? Master?s Degree a plus
Passion for videogames is preferred
