Site Reliability Engineer

Quickspin is an online slot game provider with the pursuit of creating the most thrilling experience ever. We also happen to be really awesome. To continue the success story of our new games platform, we’re now looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join the Platform team, on site in Stockholm.

About the role

Quickspin is expanding its product portfolio with a newly acquired games platform. This platform is used to service all our major customers, delivering the games as well as reporting, configuration and monitoring of the gaming operation. The system is built using Java, Python and Ruby on Rails and its heavily dependent on MariaDB and Nginx. The platform itself is run in a mixed environment where some parts are hosted in the cloud and others will be run on virtual machines in VMware.

In the role as a Site Reliability Engineer, you will focus on reliability, network, and security to strengthen our team. The platform team is a multi-functional, agile team, that is responsible for both operating the systems as well as building new exiting features towards our long list of highly successful customers. With colleagues in both Sweden, Ukraine and Poland, you will be a part of a diverse and cross-collaborating team which demands excellent online communication and English skills. The SRE will among others be; Developing the next generation of CICD, Troubleshooting Platform issues, Developing new observability points, Building tools to automate and enhance the platform, & Supporting developers and 2nd line support. Qualifications and experience

• +5 years of experience in hands-on working with Linux systems administration in DevOps environment
• Good understanding of networking, web protocols, services, applications and their performance requirements (Websocket, HTTP protocol, SSL, DNS, TCP/IP etc.)
• Professional experience of Network security, configurations of load balancers and Firewalls in an Opensource as well as cloud environment
• Experience with infrastructure automation/configuration management using tools such as Ansible
• Programming skills in Python/Bash/go scripting languages
• Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• Familiar with standard software development and quality processes, methodologies and tools
• Excellent written and spoken English skills

• Experience with log processing and metrics collection (loki/prometheus/Grafana)
• Knowledge of GitOps
• Experience with AWS (EC2, EKS)
• Experience with Docker
• Experience with MariaDB/MySQL
• Knowledge of Java or Ruby on Rails
