In our department within Safe Vehicle Automation we are around 150 skilled engineers creating tomorrow’s platform solutions for our active safety and self-driving vehicles. Our Agile Release Train (ART) Autonomous Drive & ADAS Platform develops the sensor and software platform that enables development and deployment of functionality such as Collision Avoidance, Automatic Parking and Autonomous Driving. Our team Platform Software now offers you to join our journey in creating the world-class platform that will enable delivery of autonomous drive features powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI). You will have a once-in-a-lifetime chance to make an impact in solving the “engineering problem of the century”.
What you will do
As a Software Architect within AD&ADAS Platform you be working with our software design, managing non-functional requirements (the -ilities) and evolving it to meet our strategies. You will be driving advance engineering with research mainly within Sensor Fusion and Perception for low-speed manoeuvring in collaboration with other architects to make sure that we in the end can build a functional system. You will work with Product Manager/Owner with roadmap development. You will work with our software leads to both resolve our current challenges and focus on guiding the team to be able to implement changes to our software stack based on outcome from advanced engineering and research projects. You will monitor state-of-the-art research and development within the domain and work with external partners when applicable.

What you bring in
You are a visionary technical leader with understanding of the technology stack needed to deliver an autonomous driving car. You have experience and implementing in designing a real time and fault tolerant (safety critical) software.
You have passion for working in a collaborative environment and building software development communities through applying open-source development principles. You have abilities to lead technical teams and executing advanced engineering and research projects. You can break down our strategies to technical mid/long-term challenges and understand how to transfer solution to our products that builds up continuous feature increase and customer value.
In addition to a minimum a M Sc degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar, you also have at least 5-10 years of experience from software development in C++/Python for embedded systems. Having knowledge in ISO26262 (or DO178) and Nvidia HW/SW stack is meritorious. You are a driven self-motivated person with a technical mind-set, team-oriented and well familiar with agile methods. You have an energetic approach to continuously learn and innovate. You are motivated by using your problem-solving skills in a very dynamic environment. As we are a truly international team, we see you have excellent communication skills being fluent in English both verbally and in writing.
