WHO ARE WE, YOUR NEW COLLEGUES?
We are one of four teams developing and maintaining the core application within the product development at Volvo (KOLA) - the heart of Volvo product documentation. The team is located in Gothenburg, Sweden – with the possibility to work partly from home, adopting to the “new normal”.
We are team members of different background, genders and experiences. We have an open communication and always a helpful mindset. With us, you will take a key role in an agile team, striving for adopting DevOps manners. We are Software Engineers, Solution Architects, Solution Engineers and Product Owner dedicated and engaged to deliver with high quality.

We are bit by bit transforming our monolith solution to a modern Microservice architecture - We have a lot of exciting opportunities ahead of us!
WHO ARE YOU?
You are a customer focused team player with experience of working as Software Engineer (Cobol/Mainframe and Java) in an agile team. You have a passion for coding, a positive attitude and willingness to learn from others as well as to share your knowledge.
WE THINK YOU HAVE…
- Strong Communication and Collaboration Skills
- Solid experience from similar tasks, and you are self-motivated
- Experience in both backend and frontend development, primarily Cobol and Java
- Knowledge about security standards
And that you are fluent in English (both speaking and writing), and preferably Swedish as well.
NICE TO HAVE…
- Knowledge in asynchronous programming, microservice architecture, cloud services and test automation frameworks
- Knowledge in designing REST APIs
- Experience from Spring framework
