Senior Software Developer

At ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems in Landskrona we are currently looking for a Senior Software Developer to join an exciting journey with direction: Innovation!

What will you do as our Senior Software Developer?

In this role you will be part of the Technology Platforms team, made by 20 people (with both electronic and software engineers) who develops and maintain control systems and electronic platforms for our industrial doors solutions. You will work with highly skilled engineers developing future control systems from start to finish and maintain existing ones. As you will be involved in all stages of the product's lifetime, there will be great opportunities to strengthen your skills and closely cooperate with many engineers and other functions across our organization.

In this role you would also:

• Together with the software team, develop embedded software for current and future control systems
• Interact with other engineering disciplines involved in the development such as mechanics and electronics
• Define and execute software tasks, communicate progress within the team and play an active part in different exciting projects
• Gift ideas for system improvements, including cost proposals
• Produce detailed specifications and writing program codes
• Test the product in controlled, real situations before going live according to test specifications
• Prepare training manuals for users
• Maintain systems once they are up and running

The skills and experience you need

We are looking for someone who has:

• Around 5+ years of experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of C and C++ prorgamming languages
• Worked with Microcontrollers, or MCUs, Microprocessors
• Software optimizations skills at the System on a Chip (SoC) level.
• Worked with Real-time Operating Systems (RTOS)
• Wored with Agile development processes and with DevOps
• A good team player attitude with a structured and thorough way of working
• An Interest in new technology and a continuous improvement mindset
