We are a diverse group of around 50 people sitting in Stockholm. Everyone is equal and all ideas and opinions count. Flexibility in working and mind are important to be a part of a team in which change is, and will, happen constantly. We speak English and have a proper Swedish fika.

What we do: We are building a globally distributed video streaming platform and all that it entails as far as web apps, mobile apps, tv apps, infrastructure, architecture, media services, operations, latency, reliability, uptime and so on. We need to build software that will handle large load while still keeping low response times and correctness.

We are looking for: A skilled Android Software Engineer to help us develop the next generation TV experience for Android, Android TV & Amazon FireTV. The pace is high and you are expected to learn fast and deliver high quality software. You are expected to have excellent communication skills combined with the ability and willingness to cooperate within the team but also with other teams, product managers and stakeholders.

You will also be responsible for technical leadership of the Mobile Team (iOS / Android / Amazon Fire), securing that we architect, develop in the best ways, as well as co-ordination with the Product Manager on sprint planning, prioritisation, stand-ups.

Where: Stockholm, Sweden (You will need to have Swedish Work Permit / EU Citizenship)

Work experience:

- Writing code following the SOLID principles
- Experience with Rest API, knowledge about GraphQL is a plus.
- Object-oriented software design and design patterns
- Agile work methods
- Experience working with CD/CI tools (Circle CI, Github actions) is a plus.
- Android TV implementation experience is a plus
- Excellent Kotlin programming skills
- Deep understanding of Android Architecture Components
- Understanding of dependency injection
- Familiar with modern android frameworks.
- SDK implementation is a plus
- Manage experience about Firebase, Google play is a plus.

Who we think you are:

- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field.
- Strong background in software engineering, with at least 3 years’ experience
- Experience working with (video) streaming services
- Is a leader and change ambassador, you are able, enthusiastic and take the initiative
- Proactively working on developing the team and yourself in all aspects (know-how, efficiency, team culture, foster innovative culture, communication, risk mitigation, single point of failure etc..)
- You have a holistic view on problems/solutions and understand the importance of deploying software with high quality and confidence (well known risks) to reduce and limit the risk for unsatisfactory customer user experience
