Senior Software Engineer - Digital Patient Solutions

About this Role

The Digital Health products consists of several solutions where we are harmonizing both backend and frontend solutions into a catalogue of reusable components and solutions This is a combination of COTS and bespoke parts. Connected devices and SaMD (Software as a Medical Device) will be a crucial part of the solutions. A great opportunity for the right candidate to work with development in a world class team in this space as we're implementing our new strategy.

This role will be responsible for all aspects of development and implementation of change and new demand in software solutions. Depending on the project the work will span cross planning, design, architecture, programming/development and operations. You will also handle roadmaps, technology standards, technical design, delivery against platforms & services.

The Senior Software Engineer will collaborate closely with the architecture and capability teams to ensure the solutions are up to date.

Accountabilities

* Assesses business and technical requirements in line with IT strategy and business priorities.
* Designs software solutions in a sustainable and manageable way using existing and new platforms
* Develops components, modules and full software solutions and products
* Gains deep understanding of business requirements and develops strategy to align technical solutions.
* Defines and adheres to software engineering & platform engineering practices.
* Contributes as a technology advisor identifying Information Technology systems implications and providing recommendations to support business objectives.

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, you should be an experienced and tech savvy Software Engineer who takes initiatives and is eager to learn. We are looking for someone with strong communication and relationship building skills with the ability to influence others to achieve objectives. You are technically savvy with a creative mind and experience of driving and leading innovative solutions.

Essential

* Software Engineering background and capabilities, degree in a Software Engineering related field.
* Knowledge of modern software engineering patterns and architectures.
* Good knowledge in one or more programming languages (Java, JavaScript, TypeScript)
* Knowledge of client application development frameworks (REACT, Angular, React Native, native Android & iOS)
* Understanding of modern cloud architectures and offerings.
* Cloud service backends (AWS)
* Container solutions (Docker, Kubernetes)
* Databases (Mongo DB, Prometheus, ElasticSearch)
* Source code management (Git)

Desirable

* Regulatory knowledge, i.e GxP validation, SaMD or similar
