Group Digital Real Estate engineering is recruiting to modernize our Retail Expansion / Real Estate, Sustainability and Workplace Management business. Everything from providing a secure & sustainable environment for co-workers both in the workplace and at home, servicing and managing our properties including monitoring energy and water consumption as well as tracking and supporting our global expansion. We are enabling this by extracting and sharing timely data whilst securing the data quality in our digital solutions and sensors across the business. Our team designs, develops, integrates, and operates the digital solutions in our digital portfolio covering sourced solutions (3rd party including open source) and custom solutions where it makes sense. The data and insights from our solutions are widely used within the business in planning, operations and follow up. and publishing our data to the many digital consumers. We work closely with our business colleagues to meet their needs and learn together.

You should know what it takes to design, develop, and deliver high quality software. You will use and promote modern software engineering principles, encouraging utilization of proper tools and increase of automation to enable our business outcomes. More specifically we are looking for software engineers comfortable with Java, Python, JavaScript and building & integrating back-end/fullstack solutions on cloud and cloud agnostic infrastructure whilst always keeping an eye on data quality and other important non-functional requirements (security, resilience, scalability, and maintainability).

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Software Engineer you will be working physically and virtually in fully empowered and agile digital product teams. Together with the Product Owner, Product Specialist(s), Engineering Manager, and other engineers you will create, maintain, and promote the digital product roadmap and ensure an optimized service offering based on the latest technologies to fulfil business needs.

You will also:

• contribute to develop, run, and maintain high-quality code of the assigned Product or Service using the right toolsets required whilst applying and promoting good software engineering practices, including continuous integration and delivery.

• develop high-quality software design and architecture in accordance with good practices and agreed standards, such as Ingka Software Security Directives, to ensure delivery according to requirements and compliance

TOGETHER AS A TEAM

We’re a new and growing team consisting of around 6 people. We are quite autonomous, self-organizing and self-sufficient in many ways, which means part of our daily work is to define how we get things done together. We are based in Helsingborg, but a mix of local and remote work is not a problem.

We are passionate about our engineering culture, where fast feedback is enabled by automation, focus on minimum viable product or ‘proof of concepts’ and analysis of our engineering performance. Anyone on our team can come with ideas on things to work on. Such ideas often lead to a few people teaming up to build a first implementation and demoing it.

We value collaboration where development and fast feedback loops are natural both inside the team but also with other stakeholders. Designing and developing for the whole life cycle is corner stone of our every day as we are also responsible for the operation.
