So who are we?
We are the Integration and Simulation Group, a part of Build, Measure and Learn Technology at Volvo Group Trucks Technology in Gothenburg!
We have the goal to ensure that we have the structure, framework and knowledge to build and verify the EE system, from single component up to full system. This by creating the development pipelines for our embedded code, simulations and test structures that enables continuous integration and delivery.
Why do we do that?
Our vision is to be the most desired and successful transport solution provider in the world. To get there we need to understand technology we not used before, build solutions that never been build. We need to work with the mentality that we develop to learn, learn to reach further than our goals.
We see that the most important key to this learning is automation of everything and it’s in this that you’re going to help us!
To reach this we strongly believe in self-organizing teams where the prioritization and technical solutions are set by the once having the most competence in the area.
The mission!
Software development it’s all about testing and instant feedback. Even if for embedded software, some of the testing needs to be done on hardware, we believe most of it can be done in a virtual environment. Our aim is that that every developer should have endless of virtual trucks available to test their software instantly.
Your mission together with the team is to design, develop and maintain our virtual test environment. It includes connecting the embedded software, simulations and test as well as securing the automation to have this running continuously for every little change that is made.
This you will do in a great agile team where continuous learning is a key cornerstone. We work in a big complex software environment; learning new part of the system and taking on new areas are something you prefer over sitting with one single application.
It doesn’t matter if you have long experience and looking for a leading role or junior that want to join a team that can help you learn. If you are the right person for this team you get the role and challenges that inspires you.
So who are you?
- You love coding and software development; C++ and Python is what will come most in handy.
- You have some experience of working with build and test systems within software development (CI/CD).
- For you it’s given that everything starts with a test!
- Background within automotive and/or working with simulations is a merit.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
