We are looking for you who want to be part of the team where we develop Clas Ohlson's products under our own brand to create a unique position in the market. As a product designer at Clas Ohlson, you will work with a large product range in projects of varying sizes.

About the role

New products are developed with the intention of strengthening and securing our unique offer to customers. You work closely with several development teams in Sweden and with our production offices.

As an industrial designer/product designer at Clas Ohlson you will work in a creative process both individually and in groups. From defining scopes generating ideas and concepts which are then transformed into concrete design proposals. Environment and sustainability are important aspects to consider for Clas Ohlson, where we want to take a leading role in the market. You will also contribute to the strategic purchasing process and ensure a uniform design focus.

You need to identify future trends or potential product needs, considering technology development, competitors' supply, and customer demand and work actively to create consensus and participation within and outside your team. Outcomes of market and customer surveys are considered in product development.

Location: Insjön in Dalarna, Stockholm, or Malmö.

Who are we looking for?

To be successful in this role, you need to be structured and organized in your daily work, but still possess flexibility and openness when it comes to dealing with changes and new directives. You work without prestige and have a good ability to work together as much of the work is conducted in close collaboration with other functions within the company.

You have knowledge and understanding of what the production process looks like and have good technical knowledge to create product concepts that consider the process and production costs.

A bachelor's degree in industrial design or equivalent is desired and at least 2 years' experience as an industrial designer / product designer, preferably experience in consumer products.

You have a very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in English.

We are also looking for you who can work freely in the following software:

- Windows Office 365
- Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Optional CAD program, preferably Rhino
- Rendering skills are an advantage
