Minimum Qualifications:🚶‍♀️

• 4+ years QA experience using automation tools/frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, RSpec, etc.)
• Solid software engineering fundamentals and programming experience
• Track record of driving critical bugs to resolution and prioritizing bugs on behalf of the customer.
• Ability to communicate and train developers and future QA team members on testing best practices

What: 👨‍🚀

We are seeking our first QA Engineer to implement a gold star testing standard and introduce best practices across our product teams.

You will be building the foundations on top of which other teams can easily write tests and be confident in the changes they make. That will include building and setting up the necessary tooling and practices for e2e tests, unit testing, and anything in between. You are the gatekeeper to production-ready.

The Crew: 👥

We are 50 people strong currently and we're growing quickly with ambitions to become 70+ in the next few months. We're looking to hire across all departments so you'll see a lot of new crew members joining the Juniverse!

Responsibilities: 📋

In this role you’ll:

• Build out the necessary tooling and processes for e2e and unit tests. You will also start with introducing chaos engineering to our system.
• Write automated and manual tests as necessary when teammates need help with it.
• Educate others on good testing practices, and make sure we stick to them.
• Do audits of services on the current state of QA and help out teammates in reaching QA metrics (eg. code coverage)
• Conduct code reviews for automation test cases and developer code
• Introduce new testing technologies and testing best practices

Within 1 month you'll:

• Learn our current state in terms of QA
• Set up a pipeline for running e2e tests
• Find bugs that we wouldn't without you

Within 3 months you'll:

• Have a good understanding of our system
• Set up good practices in the engineering team on how to do testing
• Have built a solid QA pipeline for going from development to production

Within 6 months you'll:

• Feel comfortable with our QA setup
• Thanks to you we are shipping fewer bugs to production
• Take our QA a step further with chaos engineering and implementing other necessary tooling
