We are an in-house full-stack company that has a great mix of people involved in production automation, hardware, embedded, app, and cloud/backend development.

To facilitate this need, Plejd has established a data centric department within the company.

About The Team

On a high-level, the data team is driven by making a real impact by facilitating smarter decisions across the whole organization. It's a broad scope, but this includes data engineering, data science, product analytics, and business intelligence.

The team aims to collaborate and closely partner with Plejd’s internal teams in all areas, including production, hardware engineering, operations, sales, marketing, and customer service to assist them to make more informed decisions so that they can ultimately build better products and provide better solutions.

We address these needs by building a solid infrastructure and applications that make data more accessible among the different areas of the company.

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our team in Mölndal.

What You’ll Do

You will help the Data department at Plejd architect, build and maintain our data pipelines and API’s. Our focus is on creating the infrastructure and data driven framework in which we manage a variety of parameters that can lead us to continually improve and discover new services for the company and our customers.

We are responsible for designing, building, maintaining and monitoring scalable, end-to-end data pipeline solutions, from collection to storage to delivery. We also maintain a variety of API’s to help distribute data back to the various teams and software we use around Plejd.

You will work in close collaboration with other teams at Plejd where you’ll evaluate and implement modern solutions and technology that will increase the efficiency of data engineering workflows at Plejd.

You And Your Skills

We are looking for a Data Engineer with experience in AWS cloud services, building data pipelines, designing APIs, and data storage techniques from databases to cloud storage.

You should be comfortable designing and implementing real-time data streaming and batch pipelines using event driven solutions. We use event driven technologies for example to build streaming data analytics that push results to databases or to respond to changes and update existing databases, or perhaps to even build new databases based on messages received over various event topics.

Solid programming skills are of course required. We use a lot of NodeJS / JavaScript and Python for our solutions. We build containerized applications using Docker and we deploy using CI/CD solutions integrated with git repositories.

Experience in data science, data analysis and machine learning are of course beneficial as well.

You must have strong collaboration and communication skills.
