Team – Husqvarna Intellion

The Husqvarna Intellion vision is to build a new strategic business within the area of satellite and other remote sensor capabilities, AI analytics and digital platform solution delivery. The team is managed as a separate, autonomous unit acting like a startup under Husqvarna Group’s corporate umbrella. We target business opportunities relating to vegetation management for customer domains like utility companies, forest owners, vegetation management contractors, insurance companies and companies/institutions managing other relevant infrastructure like roads and railroads. Our way of working is agile and fast-paced, highly customer oriented and with a flat hierarchical structure.

AWS Cloud Developer/Architect

In the role as a coding AWS Cloud Architect, you will be the tech lead of the AWS architecture and implementation for our green tech corporate startup initiative Husqvarna Intellion. You will be a key player in the development team regarding the platform and functionality and execution of AI analysis modules.

Your broad responsibilities will include: owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around the implementation of Husqvarna Intellion, and developing a deep expertise in the AWS technologies as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform, as well as ensuring a tight link to the Husqvarna Group Service Cloud.

The ideal candidate will possess skills that will allow them to represent Husqvarna Intellion startup architecture within Husqvarna’s business platform for IT services environment and drive discussions with senior personnel within the company, as well as a technical background that enables them to easily interact and give guidance with software developers and data scientists.

You should also have a demonstrated ability to think structured about business, product, and technical challenges.

Main responsibilities

• Designing and building applications using container and serverless technologies.

• Work with other AWS teams to drive adoption and revenue.
• Capture and share knowledge with our broader Solution Architect community.
• 
  
• Actively contribute to set clear sprint planning goals (platform, AI models, features etc.) and follow-up on progress and delivery in light of the longer-term strategy and vision.
• 
  
• Contribute to establish a curious and experimental culture with iterative testing, learning and modification in order to “fail forward” in a startup-like working environment.

Preferred qualifications and profile

Education

Relevant skills and competence from digital platform solutions

Technical degree preferred.

Computer Science background highly desired

Language skills

English (fluent)

Swedish, other languages (intermediate to advanced skills)

Experience

• Coding experience in AWS
• 
  
• Working knowledge of software development practices and technologies highly desired
• Large-scale software development or application engineering with recent coding experience in some of the following languages: Python, JavaScript, SQL.
• Setting up DevOps environments
• Implementing Best Practice for AWS cloud security

Leadership Experience

Proven track record of having successfully worked in teams in a non direct-report capacity. Preferably having experience from both startups/scale-ups as well as knowing how to navigate in a corporate environment. Ability to collaborate in a remote structure is highly important.

International Experience

Extensive experience from working in a global environment, with multiple stakeholders that are not co-located and/or may have cultural differences.

Location 

The position is preferably based in Stockholm, Jönköping or Gothenburg Sweden.

Limited travel will be done as needed to visit and collaborate with customers and partners, primarily in the Nordics, Europe and North America.
