Worked fine in Dev, Ops problem now? no longer!

At IST International Software Technology AB ("IST Group") we believe personality is just as important as skill. We have a busy time ahead of us, and we're searching for a number of new colleagues to join us as we take on new challenges. One of the roles we're looking for is DevOps.

Who are we?
IST Group is one of the largest suppliers of solutions and services for schools and pre-schools in the Nordic region with over half of the municipalities in Denmark, Norway and Sweden as customers. We are 250 employees spread over four offices in three countries.

Our key objective is to empower the learning process by providing schools with the IT solutions and services needed to make the most of the time, money and resources invested. With everything we do, we aim to deliver the best possible value to the parents, teachers, students, system owners, administrators and principals, that are our customers.

Who are you?
As a DevOps at IST you get to perform our most precious task, securely deliver our produced value to our customers, and you love it! You love it so much that you practice delivery at our test environments. You want a secure, standardized and cost efficient process so much that you automate it and version control it. You're driven to build up and continuously improve our deployment orchestration so you can spend more time with a cup of coffee and preventive system monitoring than fighting fires. If something do go wrong, you dive right into the detective work!

You have a few years experience from IT operations besides your Master or Bachelor of Science. We believe you have great communication skills and a true commitment to the company, not only contributing to the DevOps team and the people around you but to the organization as a whole. As a person you tend to make things happen and you welcome change. We expect you to quickly adapt to new situations and enjoy being part of an agile, constantly changing environment.

Skills and experience that are required or meritorious and valuable:
- Great Linux skills!
- Git, Tomcat, Karaf, Oracle.
- TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, load balancing.
- Setup and configuration of virtual servers in cloud environments.
- Work with CI/CD and automation of new solutions.
- Applications and system monitoring.
- Be a part of the on-call duty pool.
