The Volvo Trucks Aftermarket unit enables a multitude of customer services from profitable spare parts sales, reliable quality monitoring and novel uptime services. Diagnostics & Software Download Services is a department within Commercial Solutions at Volvo Group IT. We are responsible for developing the next generation Diagnostic Service Platform which is a key enabler for our digital transformation for the future. We are involved in developing services in the areas like Proximity and Remote Vehicle Diagnostics, Embedded Diagnostics, Prognostics, Over the Air Update of complete vehicle, Fault Tracing and various other future product capabilities targeting multiple platforms. The main sites are in Sweden, Brazil, and India. We want to make a difference by being there for our colleagues and for our customers and by providing uptime and reliable services. We are now seeking an experienced Solution Architect who has the drive and passion to contribute to our digital transformation and who sees that the key to success is to develop the organization and its people to meet future business challenges.

Your main activities and responsibilities

As an experienced Solution Architect, you will lead and coordinate architectural work across different teams in the agile release train. You will define and develop the strategic and tactical direction of our full stack architecture. As part of a global unit, you will actively cooperate with various stakeholders with ease in a multi-cultural environment.

You will be involved in designing and maintaining the architecture views, models, and target architecture for the solutions and drive the work to identify and reduce the technical debt. You will also contribute to the implementation (hands on) of our software components.

You will stay up-to date in architectural trends & relevant industry models and be a mentor for other developers, architects in the team.

Background

• A Bachelors or Masters in Engineering science, Computer science, Business Administration or equivalent
• A passion for IT
• At least 4 years relevant work experience
• Solid English skills
