This will be us - your new colleagues within ESW GOT team, part of the Core Platform Area (CPA) Software & Diagnostic

Today we are one ESW-team in GOT, but are about to become two teams. You will coordinate activities for both teams, making sure we share common micro-services and architecture when reasonable, creating in-house ESW solutions within the ESW Configuration & Release domain.

The teams consist of highly skilled and senior Architects, Software Engineers and Business Analysts with great domain knowledge.

CPA Software & Diagnostic is part of Technology, a new function within Volvo Group Digital & IT with a big stake in the Group’s digital transformation. Technology will modernize Volvo’s core digital backbone making it a platform for digital products.

CPA Software & Diagnostic are responsible for core IT solutions supporting end to end, from developing vehicle software to vehicle software deployment. Our digital talents develop capabilities and digital technologies to improve business performance and create value for the Group with speed and at scale.

We collaborate with other parts of the organization, both in Group IT, with TD/BAs and Group Functions. We foster an environment where ideas, thoughts and opinions can be shared. We are team players with clear common ambitions, and we win together.

This is how you could make an impact

As a Solution Architect in this team, you will mainly have responsibility and work in the area of Software Architecture, but might also drive change and support work within Infrastructure Architecture and Integration Architecture.

In your role, you will work closely with the development teams but also lead other Solution Architects and take lead, share and follow-up on future architectural work in our different delivery-teams.

• Accelerate the DevSecOps journey and continuously improve speed and agility.
• Contribute to setting up and establish our new Cloud environment for the future, likely in Azure.
• Information / Domain modelling and IT system modelling.
• Be part of the Technology Architectural community and drive directives and share guidelines among our SW Engineers.
• Implement the North Star architecture.

You are expected to build solid relationships within the Architectural community, both in Group IT, as well as in other TD/BA’s.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who would like to maximize efficiency for our users by Software development.

You have experience in Software development.

• Be a mentor and contact person for other Solution Architects and senior SW Engineers in the team.
• You are familiar with working DevOps and consider Security part of DevOps as something very important.

You will be a good fit if

• You have 5+ years of hands-on experience with .net based applications
• You have 3+ years of architect responsibilities
• You have proficient knowledge in solving complex queries in SQL
• You have good analytical skills and are a good problem solver
• You are customer focused with the ability to work closely with business stakeholder
