Senior Network Security expert

Vattenfall IT is the internal IT provider for the entire Vattenfall Group with employees in several European countries. We are supporting Vattenfall in its transition to become fossil free within one generation.

For the Network Operations team we are now looking for one experienced and ambitious Senior Network Security Expert, who are aiming to become member of an international team active in six countries supporting the Vattenfall business units in Stockholm, Berlin, Hamburg and Amsterdam.

Your job as a Senior Network Security Expert

In your role you will work with daily network security tasks. Data Management in Network Security Tools and Network Security Solution Design. Your key tasks will include:

Tasks

• Drive network security tasks
• Lead coordination to mitigate network vulnerabilities
• Network Security coordination
• Firewall opening requests
• Proxy rule requests
• Risk analyzing
• Maintain network devices managed by the Network Security Management (NSM) Tool
• Ensure that the NSM Tool follows the latest Vattenfall security standards and compliancy baseline
• Support projects as a project resource
• 
  

Communicate / cooperate on different levels:

• Internally: monitoring team, solution architects, SOC/ IT Security Service, managers
• Externally: different external providers and sourcing partner

Business trips from time to time required within an international team

About you

We believe that you have at least 7 years of experience in network operations/ security including practical knowledge in analyzing and solving IT problems in a complex landscape. You have good communication skills and used to work towards all kind on stakeholders (customers, IT department and steering external partners). We believe that you have conceptional knowledge in the area of internal/external DNS and DHCP and/or experience in IPAM operation. As a person you are open minded and willing to learn. You have an independent workstyle while being a team player as well.

Furthermore, we believe that you have skills in the following areas below, other relevant certifications are preferred:

• Security Management Solutions
• ISMS1042
• Experience in operation of Skybox Security Management tool or similar tools like Tufin, Algosec, Firemon is a plus
• Solid knowledge in Network (routing / switching) and related protocols
• Firewall monitoring and configuration. Both Cisco and Fortigate
• Excellent skills in load balancers
• DMZ
• Using troubleshooting and diagnosing systems
• Security Engineering
• Experiences with ITIL processes (incident handling, changes, problem management)
• Basic scripting knowledge (python, perl, …)
