Senior SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test)
As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) at NA-KD you will be responsible for designing and building automation frameworks that will help our product development squads perform test our software in a more effective and efficient way. Our platform is based on Microsoft technologies, hosted on Azure. There will also be opportunities to create new e-commerce platforms, tooling to improve new and existing workflows and to further innovate within the Episerver Commerce platform. Your goals are set high and you plan to eventually become the best in your field. You have a genuine interest in technology and are keeping up with the latest developments as part of your job. You appreciate the value of the process but can be flexible in a fast paced, start-up environment when the conditions call for it. You find joy in solving hard problems and bringing solutions to market when it seems there are none.
Responsibilities (What you will do)
- Help our squads improving both code quality and speed of development
- Shape and execute a strategy to move towards massive test automation, reducing team's dependency on manual testing
- Develop and coordinate the execution of a comprehensive test strategy across our systems
- Contribute in our migration from a monolithic architecture to a distributed and loosely coupled system, by ensuring that contracts are well defined an thoroughly tested throughout the software development lifecycle
- Develop, execute and maintain software to test our products.
- Establish and lead an internal guild around testing and test automation
- Coach software engineer and QA on how to implement effective test automation in their products
Your Past & Your Skills
- Proven experience creating and maintaining automation frameworks and tools supporting test automation
- Experience automating unit, functional, integration tests
- Experience with test automation both in a monolithic architecture as well as with distributed systems
- Experience with CI/CD tools and practices
- Software Engineering experience
- Experience with Azure Cloud and the Microsoft stack
- Experience training and coaching software engineers and manual testers into defining and implementing good test strategies
- Analytical approach to quality, using metrics to plan, assess and iterate on the testing strategy
Location: Fully Remote in Europe or based in NA-KD's offices in Gothenburg or in Stockholm.
