Ellos Group is an e-commerce company in fashion and home interior with 9 million customers in the Northern Europe. We are right now creating the blue print for the next generation of our data platform. And we are loooking for a Senior Data Engineer to take lead in defining the roadmap and also go make it happen. This is our biggest transformation in many years - it is not often a position like this is open. It is a unique chance to be part of and create something new.

But you must have done this before.

You have a proven track record from establishing enterprise wide data platforms combining data warehousing, data lakes, structured, semistructured, unstructured and streaming data. You have your own view on how a lakehouse architecture can be built, maintained and grow over time.

Hands-on experience from several platforms and tools is a requirement. Open source, commercial, on-prem, cloud-based. You have worked with several of the following (or similar) platforms Hadoop/Hortonworks, Databricks/Delta Lake, Apache Iceberg, Google BigQuery, Azure Synapse Analytics, Cloudera, Snowflake, AWS Lake House and know their respective strengths and weaknesses.

You are able to work as part of a team, as well as work independently or with minimal direction. You like what you do and will be a natural missionary in all contacts with BI developers, product owners, data scientists and more. You have excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
