CTO | Nordiska Galleriet Group

Nordiska galleriet is currently undergoing a large transformation of becoming a tech driven company with state-o-the-art and modern tech stack. To continue this journey we are now looking for a CTO who will be a center piece in the company management team and contribute to disrupting the design furniture industry.

About the role
In the role as CTO at Nordiska Galleriet Group your main responsibility is to be in charge of the technology department and the tech stack which the company operates on. You’re mission is to create an environment where engineers thrive and together with the product team creates products which customers and users love. You are part of strategic management who as a whole is responsible for the long term mission of moving one of the largest commerce industries into the future. You operate from our head quarters in Stockholm, Sweden.

Responsibilities

- Take charge and responsibility of the complete tech stack and architecture that is being developed
- Scale up current in-house technical teams Full ownership over the technical roadmap and technical aspects to ensure alignment with its business goals and global expansion
- Work closely with other departments to allow for one streamlined decision-making process
- Supervise system infrastructure to ensure functionality and efficiency
- Develop and implement governance and SecOps framework
- Build quality assurance and data protection processes Communicate technology strategy to partners and internal departments
- Be a center piece in the company management team and contribute to disrupting the design furniture industry

Requirements
- Proven experience as a CTO or similar leadership role
- Solid tech backgroud within Microsoft .NET
- Proven experience in e-commerce industry
- Knowledge in scaling up technical teams
- Previous experience in global expansions
- Understanding of budgets and business-planning
- Excellent communication skills
- Leadership and organizational abilities
- Problem-solving aptitude

Nordiska Galleriet has in five years gone from a small boutique store in Stockholm with 16 coworkers and 40m SEK in turnover to company group of with a 250+ team of commerce and design experts with a total turnover of over 1 200 M SEK. We’re going to move the furniture industry and make furniture fashionable through exceptional customer experiences, technical innovation, cult-level branding and operational excellence. The company is currently undergoing a large transformation of becoming a tech driven company with state-o-the-art and modern tech stack. An ongoing centralization project for the groups different ERP systems is aiming to optimize and future-proof the base in terms of purchase, delivery and logistic. Along with investments made in a new WMS system, central warehousing, and a new in-house developed data platform for analysis & visualization this will work as benchmark for scale in our SCM. The next step in Nordiska Galleriet Groups roadmap is to move on to a complete new modern headless tech stack for our commerce, sales, and storefronts. By creating a custom fitted platform based of internal services and best-of-breed services for our APIs and backend logic our goal is to have full control over our own platform with full scalability in terms of features. As design is closest to our hearts only the highest quality will characterize our frontends consisting of storefronts and micro apps architecture.
