We are looking for a skilled developer to extend our front-end capabilities at the marketing and communication IT team. If you are self-taught or if you have studied a relevant education and have worked some years with front end development, you are the right person for this role. Ideally, your are also looking to develop you own skills to transition into full stack development working with Java, AWS and integrations.

Our teams

Our three teams are working with Scania's external web experience with a focus on content management, digital asset management and customer data analytics. Our next target is to set and execute marketing automation. Our team is currently looking for a front-end developer preferably, but not necessarily, with experience from Adobe Experience Manager and other Adobe marketing platforms.

Your role

In this position, you work closely with stakeholders from business and colleagues in the team like backend architects to define and design end-to-end frontend architecture of the applications. You are a creative and technically skilled mind that is eager to achieve the vision of provided UI/UX from the designers with the best possible performance. You are familiar with responsive design for web applications and you are upskilling your teammates with your specific knowledge and seeking out to help when needed. Our team spirit is strong and you always work close to your colleagues to collaborate on solving various tasks. We help and learn together.

Some of the tasks you will be experiencing are:

• Collaboratively deciding on the frameworks and tools, deployment strategy, DevOps pipelines, quality gates and defining Non-Functional Requirements.
• Focus on quality by implementing best practices like logging, calling out technical debt and meeting KPIs using code quality tools like SonarQube.
• Hands-on with automating redundant work, like common component structure, both in terms of scaffolding as well as using the right design patterns / creating abstractions.
• Mentor team members in helping review code, guiding on technical decisions
• Able to tweak/change build/deployment pipeline as needed in the context of a module (e.g. Jenkins / Gitlab)

You’re participating in all aspects of the work, supporting our colleagues in building an AEM set up for the future. You will work with systems that are critical for our business and have frequent communication with POs and teams.

Your skills

We coach our teams to become autonomous and agile, therefore expect you to be familiar with agile methods and thrive to work in an agile environment. To be a good fit, you should also be curious to learn new technologies and love to share your knowledge & ideas with others.

We expect you to have senior experience with data-driven development and continuous delivery, and of course that you are familiar with the technologies and tools that we work with. To succeed in this role we believe that you are an expert in Java but with a wide knowledge in other related technologies to Content Management, integrations and that you have good experience of preferably AWS but also Azure.
