Software Developer - Fullstack

We are on an exciting growth journey and are now looking for more Software Developers to help us improve and develop our product!

Main responsibilities

As a Software Developer at Benify, you will join an agile and cross functional team of developers, product owner, UX and agile coach. We see innovation and long-term sustainability as our foremost guiding principles and we hope you will share that with us. Together with the team, you will transform business- and user needs into great solutions and neat code to always improve our product. We work with CI/CD and release things daily as well as continuously evaluate the technologies and tools being used. In addition, you will be responsible for all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle such as the architecture, coding, testing and debugging for instance.

As a Software Developer, you will:

• Be responsible for the fullstack development working with technologies like Java 16, Spring, MySQL, TypeScript and Angular 11
• Write well designed, testable and efficient code
• Work with Agile system development such as Scrum and Kanban
• Contribute to technical- and architectural evolution as well as improvements of code quality

This is what we are looking for

To thrive in this role, you have a genuine interest in understanding business needs and creating user value in a complex code base. We’d rather see that you have a product mindset than focus on specific technologies, i.e. solving a real-life problems is more important to you than which framework you use to solve the problem. Working cross functionally as we do means that you will learn from each other, so sharing knowledge is natural to you and you’re not afraid to ask for help when needed – no prestige here! You prefer great teamwork and collaboration as well as having a fun and friendly workplace with ambitious colleagues. We see that you have an interest and experience in either frontend or backend – but will be willing to work fullstack once you join the team.

To succeed in this role, we also see that you have:

• Relevant educational background within Computer Science, Software Development or similar
• Preferably a few years’ experience working with frontend technologies like HTML, CSS, Typescript and Angular (or other frontend frameworks)
• Preferably a few years’ experience working with backend technologies, preferably in Java
• Agile values and hands-on experience in agile software development
