User Experience Strategist – Volvo Group Connected Solutions

Consumer Services at Volvo Group Connected Solutions is responsible for the end user services, from idea to development and operation. Together with our partners and customers we create value through fantastic user experience and business enhancing services and products.

We are now looking for a User Experience Strategist to join our Design Team and to take part in our exiting journey ahead. We are a collaborative team of 15 highly skilled user experience and service designers with an ambitious target to create world class user experience for our brands. Our designers play a key role in all of our customer facing developments providing design competence to the product and solution teams and work in close collaboration with product owner, BA, developers and stakeholders.

The role

In this role you will bring your strategic and creative mind-set and “can do” attitude to shape and communicate the user experience strategy and design to our product and solution teams. You will champion our users and serve as a team advisor responsible for defining the overall UX vision throughout the ecosystem. Together with the Design team and team lead you translate the business and user needs into highly engaging experiences. You will also;

  • Create and actively maintain the UX strategy, vision statement, design principles and guidelines and best practices, identifying areas for process improvements.
  • Partner with key stakeholders across our different business units to understand clearly the business needs, user insights and competitive landscape.
  • Align the user experience design with the business goals and strategy connecting the different services and solutions to offer one consistent experience.
  • Synthesize with the UX researcher the user insights and data to identify strategic opportunities and recommend innovative products and/or services.
  • Hold the personas, define segmentation of users for varying strategies and identify opportunities for continuous improvements.
  • Map the user journeys and identify paint points and opportunities to improve the user experience and the business impact.
  • Evangelize service design methodologies and UX Strategy across our agile development teams and our stakeholders.

Your profile


You are a mastermind of design, an innovative problem solver and a collaborative team player who can handle multiple solutions and brands of differing size, scope and complexity.

You have a business mindset, driven by curiosity and passionate about user-centered experience design and able to handle both high-level vision, service design product development while securing the execution of your findings by gaining buy-in from the team.

You are great listener and good communicator, self-driven and comfortable taking the lead in discussions and workshops with energy.

You have experiences in successfully driving customer centric transformation, establishing guidelines and principles, as well as user journeys mapping.

You have 5 years + experiences in the Design field and appropriate education and a strong portfolio that demonstrates your design skills.
