Senior UI Artist - Crusader Kings III

Do you want to make a big difference at a small studio? Paradox is on an ambitious journey to explore and expand on Grand Strategy Games, a genre we invented and want to take to new heights. To do this, we are looking for a senior UI Artist in Malmö to help push pixels deep into terra incognita.

As a Senior UI Artist at Paradox Thalassic, you will be creating the first assets our fans see when they get their hands on a new expansion. First impressions matter as your work enables players to go from being the benevolent Duke of Mercia to ending up eating the pope. You will be the bridge between our UX and code team and be responsible for implementing assets into the game engine as well as making sure the UI looks great and is easily readable.

Responsibilities

• Visual development of UI mockups to help establish UI for new features
• Collaborating with the team to design, paint, implement, script, and optimize UI assets.
• Painting icons, frames, buttons, and menus that work in small and large resolutions.
• Maintain consistent style under the direction of the Art Director

Required Qualifications

• Professional experience as a UI artist or equivalent with a portfolio to show it
• Demonstrate good use of typography, composition, and color
• Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator skills
• Fluency in English both written and spoken
• Familiarity with and/or interest in Paradox Grand Strategy Games
