Ericsson has revealed its Cloud System, a product for orchestrating private cloud capabilities across the network that effectively ties together previously announced moves such as its membership of OpenStack and redefinition of the cloud concept to cater for telecom needs to support Network Function Virutalization (NFV).
Product Development Unit (PDU) Cloud is a new PDU with the task in developing and maintaining Ericsson Cloud System (ECS). PDU Cloud, part of the newly announced Business Unit Cloud & IP, is a global organization with the main development in Stockholm, Budapest, Aachen, Helsinki, and San Jose, CV.
We are now looking for three result-oriented System Developers, to take part in the development of ECS Software Infrastructure and Management. In particular, the task will be to explore and pre-develop Cloud Features to run with the ECS system.
The base line for ECS is OpenStack, the fastest growing open source community ever. Hence, you'll have the opportunity to contribute your findings to the OpenStack community, in line with Ericsson strategy. Note that Open Stack is primarily written in Python, so this skill will be an advantage for you to follow-up the resent development in the community.
As System Developer you will perform and drive strategic technical studies, prototype, and interact with cross-functional teams of the Unit for implementation in the product. You will be responsible to ensure our Cloud Infrastructure and Management performs in accordance to Teloc Application Owners and Customers expectations.
As a good candidate you are flexible, innovative, want to make things happen and are keen to learn and improve things constantly. You are a good team player, but also self-driven, and with a clear customer focus.
Master of Science or corresponding University studies and a minimum of 3 years relevant system developer position, 5 years taking the PO decisive role.
