Software Engineer in Test (Stockholm/Strängnäs/Gävle)

Our Research & Development organization is looking for a highly-motivated Software Engineer in Test.

About the job

Your main responsibility as a Software Engineer in Test will be to work closely with both the members of your development team and the other testers in the Quality Assurance guild, to ensure that our application is fully tested before going out into production. You will be surrounded by peers who trust each other and encourage you to try without the fear of failing.

The team you will belong to works together with the product owner and customers to turn their ideas and user stories into high-quality software functionality, in a true Agile (Kanban) way. In this role, you will participate in all phases of the development process, from user story review and design to release of new versions and follow-up with customers. Your focus will be to ensure that the user stories and bug corrections to be delivered are free of errors. You will also be taking responsibility in creating the releases several times a week. Some automation work will need to be done for speeding up the release process. Furthermore you may need to participate in improving the Load and Performance testing in the near future.

Requirements

• You have solid knowledge of how to plan, perform and report test work.
• You have experience in testing web applications.
• You know basic SQL or PostgreSQL.
• You have experience in test automation.
• You are happy to try out new tools and are always keeping up to date with the latest trends within testing and quality assurance.
• You have experience of some of the following tools: JMeter, Playwright or Cypress, python, selenium, API testing tool (Postman or similar)
• You thrive working in a team where everyone’s opinion is valued.
• You are fluent in English (Swedish is not a requirement).
• Experience in working with cloud services (Azure/AWS) and container deployments is advantageous.
