About the role:

The Information Security Administrator strengthens the Security domain of City Network International AB. This role includes the continuous contribution for City Network's security certifications for ISO 27xxx family and internal information security compliance. Serve as the subject matter expert in data security and assist other departments with the IT Security process and documentation. Investigate findings within Incident and Vulnerability Management to determine potential root causes and recommend necessary preventative actions to mitigate reoccurrence of the associated risks.

Responsibilities:

  • • Being actively part of Certifications and Audits through the contribution and ongoing enhancement of the Information Security Management System, primarily focusing on ISO 27001 and SOC2 requirements.
  • • Being a member of the Security Incident Response Team
  • • Ensure Information Security controls are relevant, adequately documented and maintained for ongoing recertification and governance activities.
  • • Contribute to a system that fosters appropriate, verifiable, auditable and coordinated security procedures and practices compliant with related laws, regulations, policies and professional standards.
  • • Co-Governance is a system that encourages the routine use of risk assessments and risk management planning related to the information security features of systems, tools and networks.
  • • Ensure compliance with all applicable internal and external Information Security requirements through hands-on activities.
  • • Support for assessing, reporting and assisting in the remediation of IT security vulnerabilities for IT systems and applications part of City Network operations.
  • • Support in designing, documenting, training and testing of the IT Security controls.
  • • Support in regular IT Security review tasks.
  • • Independently contribute ideas and process improvements and look for creative solutions and better ways of doing things to meet goals of continuous improvement
  • • Identify, analyse and address problems to resolve issues whenever possible in a way that minimise the negative impact on the organisation.

Requirements:

  • • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.
  • • Strong computer skills
  • • Linux know-how (preferably Ubuntu)
  • • Understanding the key technical and organisational concepts of Information Security related systems (firewalls, intrusion detection, virtualisation technologies, encryption, VPN etc..
  • • Fluent communication skills in English

Good to have:

  • • IT/Information Security experience, preferably in a service provider business.
  • • Scripting skills (bash, python)

Personal qualities:

  • • Open mindset with willingness to continuously learn new security developments and favour Open Source technologies.
  • • Effective communication style across a wide spectrum of individuals having varying degrees of technical understanding.
  • • Well-organised and structured.
  • A team-player

If you live in Sweden or Germany, you would be directly employed by City Network International AB or our German subsidiary.

If you live in any country other than Sweden or Germany (but within EU), we will enter into a contractor agreement as applicable to the legal situation in your country. If a contractor agreement doesn't suit you, we'll work with our group for possible alternative locations.

Salary and compensation will be negotiated during the interview process.

Location: Europe (Flexibility to work remotely).

Start date: Immediate/at your earliest convenience.
