Operations/DevOps Engineer

We are a new startup in the gaming/betting industry. We are all senior in the business, coming from some of the biggest gaming companies and we have very solid investors. Our aim is to find a different approach to gaming and use state-of-the-art technologies to get there. We are around 10 people, located in central Stockholm.

We are almost a full team, but we are still missing an operations/devops function. For us, that means helping the developers with everything they can’t handle themselves in terms of infrastructure, network and servers. This also includes software for continuous integration and continuous deployment. We have virtual servers in the AWS cloud and physical co-location abroad for production servers, so we trust that you feel comfortable with both cloud based and remote physical infrastructure. In the future we also might need to have more than one hosting site as well, which will add complexity.

You have at least some of the following skills and is eager to learn what is needed along the way:

• Managing AWS
• Nginx management experience
• JVM management
• Node.js management
• Experience in container software like Docker, Rocket
• Running clustered applications on Linux platforms
• OS X administration
• Linux administration
• Shell scripting
• Hardware procurement
• Load balancing
• Bamboo
• Git/Bitbucket
• Database management knowledge, both relational and nosql
• Monitoring
• Network management

Preferably you have a developer background, and understand the needs from a development point of view. It’s a plus if you have experience from the gaming/betting industry.
