We are now looking for a Service Center Architect to join our System Applications team within Axis´s Research & Development department.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
The domain is Axis System Applications encompassing desktop applications, on-premises and cloud services, as well as mobile applications with primary focus on establishing a Service Center for new services in the cloud and on premise.

Together with the Service Center Product Manager you will form Axis service offering, defining use cases, requirements and architecture. You should have a strategic view of where the business is going and how technology will be used to attain that vision.

As Service Center architect you will be responsible for the technical strategy, and participating in driving Axis solutions architecture together with the technical product owners. You will be driving the architecture and technical solutions, bringing video surveillance in to the cloud.

Your responsibilities will include the Service Center platform architecture and cloud deployment strategy. You will identify and interact with stakeholders to make sure their needs are being met and create a common technical vision. Communicating with different organizational units is essential, since this is a cross-organizational initiative.

You will work in close cooperation with the development projects implementing each service. You will both take part in implementing the services and guiding the projects in architectural matters.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Proactively establish and guide a technical vision and technical roadmap for the domain to support the business effectively.
* Work together with other architects within the domain to implement the roadmap in practice by assisting and guiding implementing projects technically.
* Work together with the other domain architects, e.g. on embedded side, to guide Axis’ total solutions and products efficiently.

* Create a companywide understanding of the possibilities with Axis cloud based Service Center.
* Designing methods for web analytics and big data analysis as well as analyzing the results.
* Document and communicate the Service Center architecture.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We believe you have a Master's degree in computer science or similar and at least 8 years’ relevant working experience in the field. You have excellent knowledge in software design and development and a solid understanding of software development life cycle, test driven development, continuous integration and continuous delivery. You have deep understanding and vast experience from cloud technologies and cloud computing platforms, such as Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure. You also have knowledge in a vast number of different technologies such as C#, Linux and web development frameworks, such as Node.js and AngularJS.

Furthermore we believe you are familiar with working in an agile working environment and have excellent written and verbal communication skills English. As a person, you are passionate about software development and a team player, contributing on both a technical and social level.

THE SYSTEM APPLICATIONS TEAM
System Applications are responsible for creating and maintaining Axis software solutions, integrating Axis network cameras into solutions including Windows desktop applications, storage solutions, mobile apps and cloud services.
