Java Developer

Role description

As a developer in the Player Account Services Team you will be responsible for developing and improving many of the core back end services around our player’s accounts. This includes everything from login and registration to authorisation and verification within a platform where high availability, security and robustness is key. In your role you are creative, enjoy responsibility and thrive in a fast paced environment where technology and continuous delivery is key. Key accountabilities of this role are

• Working closely with Product Owner and team members to collaborate and influence new development
• Developing and evolving the systems owned by the Player Account Services Team
• Ensuring performance and quality of all deliveries
• Sharing knowledge and best practices within the organisation

We're looking for someone with the following skills, knowledge and experience

• Have strong knowledge in Java/J2EE and a variety of open source frameworks
• Are experienced in developing web services and critical transaction-based software in a distributed, scalable and concurrent platform
• Know your way around an application servers, such as Glassfish and Jetty
• Have experience with relational and NoSQL databases
• Enjoy responsibility and thrive in a fast-paced agile environment
• Have great communication skills, enjoy working closely with others, and can motivate and mentor your co-workers
• Are passionate about what you do
