Technical Lead - Platform Services

Hi there, we are currently looking for a Technical Lead to join our Digital Enablement team.

About Platform Services - Digital Enablement Area

The main purpose of the Platform Services team is to enable developers to focus on developing services with a high efficiency. The platform is modular and built around serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda, DynamoDB etc. The platform embraces the DevSecOps methodologies to ensure quality and security. The stack is mainly based around Node.js, Typescript, React.js, GraphQL and .NET.

Platform Services is a cross-functional team consisting of highly skilled software developers and architects. With a broad and deep skillset, they manage the core components and infrastructure within Polestar Digital, such as AWS, CloudFlare, ElasticSearch, and other self-built tools such as Feature Toggle, CLI's and more. All the while upholding great developer relations and support to the Polestar developer community.

About the role

As a Technical Lead in Platform Services you will collaborate with a variety of stakeholders on the continued evolution the technical platform, architecture and other capabilities with ambitious and progressive mindset. You will also act as a product owner for the team with refining and prioritizing development initiatives. You are also expected to engage with developers by sharing knowledge and contributing to building a good culture and working environment.

What you will do

Collaborate with stakeholders and developers to create a positive developer experience and scalable & secure platform

Protecting your team’s ability to focus by keeping a prioritized backlog and limited ongoing initiatives

Together with your team build and improve applications and tooling

Through demos and coaching support other teams to improve their use of services

Work with the Digital Product Manager and Digital Leads with budget, people, development needs and business cases for new investments

Who you are

Deep knowledge around AWS, distributed architecture, DevOps and related tooling

A seasoned engineer and/or technical lead with insight into new technologies and trends, as well as relevant programming experience

Strong collaborator and used to coaching teams

Thrives in a DevOps environment and finds motivation in building a platform that is effortless to operate. You value open- & inner source, infra as code and data driven development and can enable these principles through the platform.
